Nicole Scherzinger may be walking down the aisle sometime this year after her boyfriend Lewis Hamilton revealed that he may pop the big question soon . The couple has been dating for five years and the Formula 1 driver hinted that he’s ready for the next step.
Hamilton recently spoke with the British newspaper, The Sun , in which he opened up about his relationship with Scherzinger.
“We’ve been together for five years, which is quite a milestone really … But hopefully in the near future,” Hamilton said. “Maybe before we get to six years.”
The subtle hint has also sparked a debate online, but an engagement hasn’t been confirmed just yet. Scherzinger has also talked about their relationship, in which she explained the difficulties behind finding time to see each other with their busy schedules.
“You kinda have to look at the schedules because people will put something in any time that you have off and we’re always working.” Nicole Scherzinger said, according to the Belfast Telegraph . “We have to be like, ‘OK, this week I’m going to try to make it to this race, if I don’t, I’ve got this performance here; what can you do?’ Every minute counts, you know?”
It’s unknown when a ring will be in the picture, but Lewis Hamilton is already proud of his relationship with the 34-year-old.
“We’ve been together for five years, which is quite a milestone, really,” he reportedly told The Sun .
Scherzinger has also credited her boyfriend for helping her deal with issues in the past, which she explained during an episode of VH1’s Behind The Music in 2012.
“He gave me the courage to kind of end that disorder and that disease,” she said during the episode. “He made me feel beautiful for who I am and not what pant size I’m wearing, and that helped a lot.”
