Nicole Scherzinger is getting married! Well, not yet. But rumor has it that her Formula 1 boyfriend Lewis Hamilton is getting ready to pop the question.
Hamilton recently talked to the British paper The Sun and said that he was getting ready to propose to Scherzinger.
Hamilton said: “We’ve been together for five years, which is quite a milestone really… But hopefully in the near future. Maybe before we get to six years.”
The biggest obstacle in their way at the moment is conflicting schedules. Hamilton is often on the road for his Formula 1 races and Scherzinger is busy with TV shows like the UK version of The X Factor.
Scherzinger said: “You kinda have to look at the schedules because people will put something in any time that you have off and we’re always working. We have to be like, ‘OK, this week I’m going to try to make it to this race, if I don’t, I’ve got this performance here; what can you do?’ Every minute counts, you know?”
Hamilton and Scherzinger have been dating since 2008 but they briefly split up in 2010. Still, Nicole believes that they are “kindred spirits.”
Scherzinger said : “Me and Lewis are from similar upbringings so we share a similar outlook. We’re kindred spirits and hearts – that’s what ultimately connects us.”
