Nicole Richie decided that she would give fans a treat this Christmas, and posted a picture of herself on her Instagram from when she was just four-years-old.
Now 32, the star posted the picture, taken 28 years ago, with the caption: “Christmas, 1985.” It shows her smiling at the camera in front of a very Christmasy Christmas tree wearing a festive red dress, a pair of Mary Janes, and with a mop of thick brown, curly hair .
Nicole Richie spoke to E! Online last month about her Christmas traditions: “We are pretty traditional in this department. We go as a family to pick a tree, Joel and I argue about getting the tree delivered because he doesn’t want to pay the fee, we decorate it as a family while listening to holiday music. I want Christmas to be the magical fantasy for my children that it was for me.” she said.
Richie was seen on the red carpet at the American Music Awards on Sunday, wearing an almost identical stunning white dress to that of the lovely Christina Aguilera. The woman arrived almost at the same time at the Nokia Theater in L.A., wearing the tightly fitting, white cut-out dresses.
Christina’s dress was low-cut and sleeved from the house of Maria Lucia Hohan while Richie’s ensemble was a sleeveless number from Emilio Pucci. To complete her look, Nicole Richie wore diamond Lorraine Schwartz earrings and bright red lipstick.
It could have been worse if the two women’s dresses were exactly the same. They will both be relieved that their attire was just different enough not to be considered “copycatting.”
Celebrities obviously don’t coordinate what they will wear for events, and they often get really embarrassed if they inadvertently turn up wearing the same outfit as another celebrity.
