Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are engaged after what seems like a whirlwind two-month romance. But now Us Weekly reports that Jonas has already met his fiancee’s royal friends. According to the tabloid, Jonas and Chopra visited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at their country home in Oxfordshire and the visit took place days before he decided to propose.
The Inquisitr recently reported that Meghan Markle “approved” of the Quantico star’s future husband. But this is the first time we’re hearing that both couples have met as Nick Jonas did not accompany Chopra to the royal wedding in May.
While it doesn’t seem like paparazzi snapped any photos of Jonas and Chopra going to see the royals, Us Weekly reports that they were in London in July around the time of her 36th birthday. One of their sources also claims that the Jonas brother was at Tiffany & Co., presumably shopping for the ring he’d eventually slip on Priyanka’s finger.
As Hello! Canada notes, no one really knows what the foursome did during their hangout together. But based on reports of Priyanka and Meghan’s friendship, it most likely included lots of laughter and good food.
Chopra has previously revealed that she and the former Suits actress first crossed paths in 2016 at the Women in Television event hosted by Elle m agazine. She told People magazine that they connected almost immediately based on shared experiences as actresses on TV.
“We just became friends, like two girls would,” Chopra said.
She also maintained that they’ve remained close despite Meghan’s move to the U.K. Chopra described their bond as a real friendship, not based on Hollywood fame/networking, so it hasn’t been affected by Meghan’s huge life change.
“But when you have real friendships, like ours, it doesn’t matter what people look at you as or where your world goes, you sort of just, stay friends. And I think that’s what we’re like.” she said.

If Us Weekly’s report is accurate and Nick Jonas has met Meghan and Harry, is it a hint that the royals will attend their wedding?
According to another Hello! Canada article, royal protocol doesn’t prohibit the young royals from attending celebrity weddings. It will depend on how open their schedules are.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas met in 2017, a short time before they attended The Met Gala that year. Fast forward to May 2018 and tabloids catch them attending Beauty & The Beast Live together. Over the next couple of months, they were seen hanging out together in various places. Then, they started dropping affectionate comments on each other’s Instagram photos.
Now, they’re engaged and their wedding could have royal guests. Talk about a whirlwind!
