The newest security update for various Windows OS’s (XP, Vista and 7) has led some customers to receive the black screen of death, a case that Microsoft says they are investigating. The issue causes the affected computer to display a black screen with just a single “My Computer” explorer window.
Gizmodo published this simple response from Microsoft:
“Once we complete our investigation, we will provide detailed guidance on how to prevent or address these issues.”
