New information about the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus is making Apple fans a little sad. MacRumors has the story.

“Its newest iPhones, in the same 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch versions as the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus devices, will have a similar exterior design, the people said. Volume manufacturing is scheduled to ramp up as soon as next month.”

There are other sites that confirm the screen size and most new information suggests that the resolution of the screen for both the 6s and 6s Plus will not change. That means the iPhone 6s will maintain the 1704 x 960 pixel resolution screen — this would be considered a “Retina” screen just two years ago, but is nothing compared to the Quad HD screens that are available now. Even the upcoming iPhone 6s Plus, with a 1980 x 1020 pixel resolution screen, comes up short when compared to other current devices.

Bloomberg confirms that the new iPhones will have Force Touch technology.

“Apple is bringing Force Touch, first unveiled for the Apple Watch and the newest MacBook model, to the iPhone at least two years after it started working with suppliers to perfect the pressure-sensitive displays.”

As Bloomberg notes, Force Touch allows users to adjust the pressure of their screen taps to bring up different functions — this is one thing the Galaxy Note 5 will likely not have. There were many upset that Galaxy Note 5 would keep the Quad HD display and not upgrade to 4K. However, Samsung’s phablet would still be ahead of the iPhone 6s Plus, even if they keep the Quad HD resolution.

There are some other exciting features on the Galaxy Note 5 that won’t be available on the upcoming iPhone. Phone Arena discusses one feature that will please a lot of people.

“The latest on the Galaxy Note 5 infers that Samsung will be going with the trendiest USB Type-C for the handset, thus futureproofing the handset for the next year, when the current side-conscious USB connector will be gradually phased out for the side-agnostic one.”

Many sources say that the Galaxy Note 5 will come with a 4100mAh battery and a more powerful chipset is a given. The Galaxy Note 5 is allegedly set to be released in September to compete with the iPhone 6s, but mostly the iPhone 6s Plus. Which phone would you rather have: the iPhone 6s, the iPhone 6s Plus, or the Galaxy Note 5? Let us know in the comments section.
