Apple’s last product reveal event of 2016 is set to take place later today, with the California-based tech giant expected to heavily emphasize its Mac line-up of products and particularly a new model MacBook Pro for 2016. But how can you catch a glimpse of Apple’s new hardware ahead of its upcoming release? In this article, we’ll take a look at how you can watch Apple’s October Mac event from the comfort of your home and decide whether or not the new laptop is the right choice for you.
How do you watch the event live?
According to Wired , just as with their other events, Apple will be live streaming the announcement of their 2016 MacBook Pro. With that in mind, even if you’re not attending the event in person, you’ll be able to tune in along with the rest of the world, which is something that many of Apple’s fans will undeniably be doing.

That being said, tuning into the stream isn’t as easy as you might think. If you plan on using your laptop or desktop to get the lowdown on Apple’s newest hardware, you’ll need to do so using Apple’s own Safari web browser, running at least version 5.1.10. That means fans of Google Chrome will need to temporarily switch over to Apple’s own browser. However, those with a Windows 10 PC will be able to tune into the stream using Microsoft’s Edge browser and Google Chrome has temperamentally worked with the stream in the past.
Those with Apple’s other hardware will be able to get in on the action too. If you’re running a second or third generation Apple TV, you’ll be able to watch the stream from the comfort of your couch, as long as your hardware is running version 6.2 or later that is. At the same time, those with an iPhone or iPad running at least iOS 7.0 will be able to tune into the stream on the go from their mobile device, meaning the Apple event should be accessible from just about anywhere in the world.
