If you’ve ventured into the whole online dating thing, it’s undoubtedly happened to you.
You meet the perfect guy or girl. Politically, socially, culturally- you’re a fantastic match. They’re cute, smart, funny and they shower. And then you find out back at their crib, they’re totally rocking a Dell. Inevitable disappointment and shame ensue. Who needs that?
Thankfully, someone has created a dating site to prevent you ever having to date a PC user ever again. Cupidtino (a portmanteau of “cupid” and “Cupertino”), currently in closed beta, introduces the first Apple-inspired dating site:
Cupidtino is a beautiful new dating site created for fans of Apple products by fans of Apple products! Why? Diehard Mac & Apple fans often have a lot in common – personalities, creative professions, a similar sense of style and aesthetics, taste, and of course a love for technology. We believe these are enough reasons for two people to meet and fall in love, and so we created the first Mac-inspired dating site to help you find other Machearts around you.
Of course, it wouldn’t be appealing to Mac fans without some thinly veiled snobbery, so:
Cupidtino will launch in June 2010 exclusively on Apple platforms – Safari, iPhone and iPad apps. It’s time to share the love
While it’s not inherently a bad idea (albeit, let’s face it, a douchey one), I take massive issue with anyone who is pushing that site claiming to have a love of esthetics.
