Will NeNe Leakes leave The Real Housewives of Atlanta after season seven? The reality star has been hinting at such for weeks, and according to a new interview, NeNe Leakes is still unsure about returning to the show.
“I don’t know if I’ll return or not, I don’t know,” NeNe Leakes told Extra TV host AJ Callaway, according to a May 7 report by TooFab .
NeNe Leakes claims she’s unhappy with the cast as it stands, and feels the show should get back to the way it began — with actual wives.
“I will return, however, if some of the other girls leave the show, because the show’s called the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta.’ There’re a lot of women on the show this season who are single, they’re not moms, they’re not married, not dating.”
Two main housewives, Kenya Moore and Claudia Jordan, are currently single, and not getting along with NeNe Leakes. Throughout season five, Moore feuded with Leakes, and once season six began, Leakes also had an enemy in Jordan, who was added to the show at the end of last year.
Although NeNe Leakes didn’t come right out and say she wanted the two women fired, she certainly hinted that the single women should be booted, but made it a point to seemingly take a stand for the also single Porsha Williams. As fans have seen, Leakes have been getting along great during season seven, and judging by Leakes’ latest quotes, she’d like to see Williams stick around — and not just that. She’s apparently also like to see more of Williams on the show (prior to season seven, Williams was demoted from full-time to part-time).
“I’d love to see a single woman on the show that’s dating, think that’s great, and fun to have that girl that’s looking for love, but we have too many girls that are looking for money instead of love, so I like to find a girl that’s looking for love, really wants to find a husband.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Williams wants exactly that . In fact, she told The Real , via The YBF , “I want a husband,” just months ago.
While NeNe Leakes’ future as a Real Housewives star remains up in the air, her future with Bravo will continue either way as she and her former co-star, Kim Zolciak, begin filming NeNe and Kim: The Road to Riches .
“We’ll start shooting this summer, gonna do fish outta water experiences, traveling around the world. It’s gonna be super fun, probably a little drama here and there.”
