Nathan Griffith and Jenelle Evans posed for a racy photo together earlier this week, and right away, rumors began swirling, claiming the Teen Mom 2 couple were back together. However, according to Nathan Griffith’s former fiancee, Jenelle Evans, they have not reconciled.
In a statement to Real Mr. Housewife on September 9, via her rep, Evans revealed the following.
“We are not back together. I stayed there last night because Tori (my friend/roommate) bought my landlords dog from her, so we stayed in Myrtle Beach and dropped Kaiser at Nathan’s Mom’s until Sunday. I’m now back where I live, two hours away, and he’s in school in Myrtle Beach.”
In the photo in question, which was shared on Twitter on Wednesday, Nathan Griffith was in his underwear, while Evans was seen in a shirt, but no bra, and what appeared to be her underwear. The photo certainly didn’t seem like a friendly photo, but Evans insists that despite her racy photo with Nathan Griffith, she is still single.
“Tori snapchatted us all together, and her Snapchat is public. So everyone took screenshots of us hanging out.”
Evans’ rep went on to tell Real Mr. Housewife , “Jenelle is laying low until she comes to New York where she will be for fashion week. She’s very focused on moving forward with her life in a positive direction.”
Nathan Griffith began dating Evans in June 2013 after the couple met on a dating app. One year later, they welcomed a son together, Kaiser, whom they currently co-parent.
While things between Evans and Nathan Griffith seemed to be going well at the start of this year, with the two getting engaged during filming on Teen Mom 2 Season 6, their relationship took a quick turn for the worse when they returned home from their engagement trip. Evans and Griffith were plagued with drama for months before they split in July.
In March, Nathan Griffith was arrested after Evans accused him of assault (the scene aired on Teen Mom 2 weeks ago), and weeks later, Evans was arrested for assaulting Nathan Griffith. In both cases, charges were ultimately dropped. Then, last month, after Nathan Griffith arrived at Evans’ home with new girlfriend Jessica Henry, Evans was arrested after she reportedly threw a glass cup, causing injury to Henry. Charges in that case have yet to be heard in court.
