MTV has upped the drama considerably for its raved about new show Finding Carter . The critically acclaimed about new show is head and shoulders above the rest of MTV’s scripted shows. It’s everything you could want out of a teen show — drama, cute romance, and child endangerment — wait, what?
That’s right, MTV’s Finding Carter follows the story of Carter Stevens (Kathryn Prescott) who is seemingly normal until she finds out that her mother isn’t actually her mother. In fact, she’s the kidnapper who took her away when she was only 3 years old. Having no memory of her biological family, Carter has to deal with her life being uprooted. Not only does she have to forge new relationships, but she’s in a new school and is struggling to fit back into her old family.
Fortunately Carter is charming and makes fast connections with friends, though she also displays a bit of reckless behavior too. This creates a ripple effect with her fraternal twin sister. If you thought things couldn’t get more dramatic on Finding Carter — think again.
According to E! Online , MTV released their new midseason trailer, and it looks like story lines are really starting to move quickly. Carter’s “goody two shoes” twin sister Taylor is accelerating her relationship with Carter’s old friend Max. Also, it looks like the cat is out of the bag about Carter’s biological mom’s affair with her co-worker Kyle. Carter and her mom already have a contentious relationship and this can throw another wrench in her mom’s efforts to reconnect with Carter. When we last left them, Carter is still understandably conflicted about her kidnapper-mom Lori and would do anything to be with her again.
It’s no surprise that fans are losing their heads about the new trailer:

The last few shots of the trailer are really shocking. It looks like Carter’s chaotic relationship with bad boy Crash is turning serious, and putting the teen into really dangerous situations — blood filled sneakers? A gun? Things are escalating pretty fast on Finding Carter and we can’t wait to see what happens next.
