MTV star Leah Messer has just gotten divorced for the second time. Following three years of marriage, Messer and her second husband, Jeremy Calvert, have officially ended their marriage, and now, the Teen Mom 2 star is reportedly “penniless.”
On June 10, the Ashley’s Reality Roundup reported new details regarding the MTV star’s divorce.
According to the site, the MTV star is essentially penniless after splitting from Calvert, whom she publicly revealed made a substantial amount of money. As fans of the show are aware, Messer’s only income is her Teen Mom 2 paycheck, and the Ashley claimed her earnings have already been spent. While Messer was hoping to get around $1,250 per month in child support from Calvert, the number seemed a bit outlandish, and it’s unclear whether or not she got it.
“Jeremy is not seeking full custody. He knows because of his job he can’t do that. There’s no way he can raise Addy on his own while he’s working out of town so frequently. Whoever reported that to the tabloids is misinformed.”
The Ashley’s source claimed the MTV star’s second ex-husband, Calvert, is “very happy to finally be divorced” and “anxious to move on,” which he’s reportedly already done with new girlfriend Brooke Wehr.
The MTV star and Calvert are expected to reunite next month at the Teen Mom 2 Season 6 reunion taping, which will reportedly be “quite the showdown!”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, the MTV star is currently in rehab , where family has reportedly claimed she’s addressing issues stemming from stress and depression. According to the Hollywood Gossip , Messer’s family has denied the star is suffering from drug addiction.
“Members of Leah’s family have insisted that the troubled Teen Mom star is not on drugs, and is instead suffering from severe emotional distress. Her mother has stated that Leah is in rehab for stress and depression, but others in her inner circle know otherwise.”
Weeks ago, In Touch Weekly confirmed the MTV star was in rehab, claiming she checked into a Utah facility on May 21 and was expected to remain in treatment until later this month.
“She’s ready for her 30-day stint of therapy. She’s being treated for depression and stress. She’s always put other people’s needs ahead of her own, and her mental health suffered because of it.”
