Miley Cyrus has been in the media a lot lately, especially in the tabloid press, which alleged earlier this week that the Disney star is not only pregnant with boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger’s baby, but is also addicted to drugs and in rehab.
Life & Style magazine, which ran the story on the front page of its December edition , has been seriously discredited by Miley, who took to Instagram to mock the rumors, explaining in a roundabout way that they simply aren’t true.
Following the publication of the Miley Cyrus story, entitled, “pregnant and forced into rehab,” Cyrus uploaded a screenshot of the magazine cover, along with the sarcastic caption, “those 3 days I was off Instagram I got pregnant and went to rehab. I was am super busy sorry guys. I know how much you missed my edits.”
As if that wasn’t enough to discredit the fake reports, Miley went one step further, uploading several memes that referred to her as an alcoholic and a drug addict.
One meme, for example, shows a picture of her from the 2010 premiere of The Last Song , alongside a screenshot from a recent Instagram video she shared. In large black letters, the meme reads: “before and after drugs,” making her point loud and clear.
She captioned another pic, “Miley cake face, 500 extensions and on a red carpet VS 0 make up, short hurr don’t care at home #drugaddict #alcoholic.”
In yet another meme-style pic, Miley Cyrus decided to fight hate with hate, and added a caption to a photo of her that talked about her looking ugly in a selfie, with, “That awkward moment when your heart is full of hate and the only way you know how to deal with it is hating others as much as you hate yourself…. Try painting… It helped me a lot with my anger.”
And, Miley isn’t the only one fighting back, as new pal Cody Simpson came to her defense during an interview with ET Online’s Katie Krause this week.
“Miley’s becoming a really great mate. She’s definitely at heart a very sweet, normal girl from Nashville. We were spending time out at her ranch in Nashville last week and I’m like ‘why do people say these things?’ She’s just like the coolest chick,” Simpson explained.
