Miley Cyrus and Dane Cook – two of the most often hated-upon public figures of the twenty first century, are romantically entwined, according to a number of reputable sources like Yahoo , Us Weekly , and Jezebel .
Rumors about Miley and Dane , who may be in a “friends with benefits” situation or an honest-to-god dating relationship, have been circulating for the past week on many of the internet’s gossip sites that only require word-of-mouth, and not any palpable evidence, in order to publish speculations.
But it is only in the past day or so that highly respected sources have begun reporting the story.
For example, US Weekly reported Cyrus and Cook’s coupling.
“Miley Cyrus has found a stand-up guy! A source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly that the ‘Hands of Love’ singer and comedian Dane Cook are ‘hooking up.’”
Jezebel joins in .
“Well, bad news for people who don’t like furiously scowling at their computers—it looks like the rumors… might be true.”
These and other reputable new sites have even been digging up concrete evidence that foreshadowed Cyrus and Cook relationship before it happened.
In the video below, Entertainment Tonight points out that Cook and Cyrus have been growing ever-more friendly with each other for a while, and he has publicly admired her spirit, as well as her body, in the past.
“A new report says it’s true. We do know from Instagram posts that the two are flirty friends. Six months ago, Dane wrote ‘this girl is nothing but class, sass, and a hot piece of a**.’”
US Weekly also reports Cook’s intimate past relationship with Miley.
“The 22-year-old [Cyrus] — who has said she likes “funny” men — and Jessica Simpson’s ex are longtime pals. In December 2013, they had an impromptu dance party at L.A. club The Woods. And this past March, when her then-love, Patrick Schwarzenegger, was snapped doing body shots off a bikini-clad girl on spring break, she regrammed a self-addressed post from Cook, 43, that read, “Don’t you ever let someone treat you like a yellow Starburst. You are a pink Starburst.”
When E! News asked Cook himself about his relations with Cyrus, the world-famous standup comedian did not deny that something was going on.
“I’m always the last to know these things. Just let Miley know that I’ll pick her up for dinner at eight.”
Admittedly, notes Refinery 29 , he attempted to play down the allegations by putting a humorous spin on them (probably because of the slightly creepy 21-year age gap between Miley Cyrus and himself), but he did not actually say “no.”
As for Miley, a source told People Magazine , she did admit to having hooked up with Dane. Cyrus denied, however, having any kind of a long-term relationship with him.
“Miley is having fun and not looking for another relationship. She is enjoying being single and free.”
