Citing “technical difficulties” Microsoft on Wednesday announced that they have stopped pushing out Windows Phone 7 updates to Samsung devices
While Microsoft began pushing out their first OS upgrade earlier this week it turns out that Samsung phones were becoming corrupt and “useless” when the update finally arrived to customers Smartphones.
While some other phone manufacturer users have claimed broken devices, most customer notices have involved the Samsung line, including the Samsung Focus (pictured above).
Microsoft admitted the issue and says they are taking action:
“In response to this emerging issue, we have temporarily taken down the latest software update for Samsung phones in order to correct the issue.”
The hiccup comes just one month before Microsoft will release a major over-the-air update including the ability for developers to allow for copy and paste functionality within their programs.
Microsoft plans to have the issue fixed “soon” and will update the Windows Phone 7 community when the update is available.
