Melissa McCarthy has showcased her stunning weight loss to the world after dropping 50 pounds over the the last few months.
The 45-year-old is believed to have reached her target of losing this weight all the way back in June, but while showcasing a number of new outfits as part of the festive ad campaign for Melissa McCarthy Seven7, which she helped to design for plus-size women.

Melissa McCarthy was photographed for the above images by Brian Bowen Smith, who later spoke to E! News about how much fun it was working alongside the actress for the shoot.
“It’s fitting it was a holiday shoot. It felt like a party,” Bowen Smith admitted in his statement. “Melissa was great and shocker funny. She has a very good handle on what she wants and how to achieve it. Her line is full of life and love. Like her. I was happy to be part of it.”
Speaking to Refinery29 earlier this year about her decision to launch the clothing line, the Spy and Bridesmaids actress admitted that she found it “very strange” other clothing lines didn’t recognize that “women come in all sizes.”
McCarthy remarked, “Seventy percent of women in the United States are a size 14 or above, and that’s technically ‘plus-size,’ so you’re taking your biggest category of people and telling them, ‘You’re not really worthy.’ It doesn’t make a lot of sense numbers-wise.”
That inspired Melissa McCarthy to make her store sell items for plus-size women, while she also decided not to separate items in these sizes from other smaller pieces of attire.
“I don’t like the segregated plus section,” Melissa McCarthy continued. “You’re saying, ‘You don’t get what everybody else gets. You have to go shop up by the tire section.”
McCarthy explained to Vogue , via E! Online , earlier this year that she had always assumed she would have a career in the fashion industry before she even considered a career as a comedian or actress.
“[Designing clothing is] always what I thought I would do,” she declared. “I went into clothing and textiles in college and moved here with Brian Atwood. I was going to finish at FIT and he made me do stand-up on the second night.”
Speaking about her style choices, McCarthy continued, “Some days I want to be prim and proper, and others I want to be in a band… The fun of it is you should be able to put these things together and not have to make a choice about going out to dinner or getting the sweater. Wear the sweater to dinner.”
Melissa McCarthy’s Seven7 line, which sells items in sizes from 4 to 28, is available in a number of stores including Macy’s, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdale’s. McCarthy’s clothing line items are all priced affordably too, with each item coming in at under $150.
