President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump arrived back in the U.S. on Saturday, July 8. As seen in the attached photo, Mr. and Mrs. Trump landed at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, and the president waved as his red tie blew wildly in the strong wind. The wind was a factor in what happened next, as seen in the below photo when President Trump went after the hat of a Marine guard after it blew off of his head. Known as a “cover,” the hat of a Marine guard is an eight-pointed cover worn with their Marine uniforms. As seen in the below video, President Trump stopped while boarding Marine One to retrieve the Marine’s hat, and placed it back on his head and tapped him several times on the arm. However, the hat blew off once more, as the Marine stood stock still.
Whereas President Trump’s red tie blowing in the wind gained buzz, so did Melania’s outfit. Melania’s fashions were closely followed during the overseas trip, such as when Melania donned a colorful dress by Delpozo, as reported by the Inquisitr . And it’s no wonder that the white lace skirt and black sweater Melania donned for the return trip home are in the spotlight. A new poll finds that 51 percent of U.S. voters have a favorable opinion of Melania, according to Fox News. That represents a 16-point increase since August, with both Republicans and Democrats looking favorably upon Melania, with a mere 28 percent of voters rating Melania unfavorably.
However, in spite of Melania’s soaring popularity, Mrs. Trump did not reach the heights of former First Lady Michelle Obama’s favorability rating at the same point in her husband’s presidency, with Michelle enjoying a 73 percent favorability rating at the time.
