Meek Mill has been ordered by a judge to attend etiquette classes.

The Philadelphia rapper, whose real name is Robert Williams, has until August 4 to complete the classes. Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley decided that the 26-year-old needed to learn etiquette based on the way he speaks in court and how he acts outside of the courtroom, as well as on social media website, according to Philly.com .

“That’s why I wanted an etiquette person to help him out. He has a lot of issues,” Brinkley told defense attorney Gary Silver.

In 2008, Meek Mill was arrested on a gun charge and sentenced to eight months in jail. He was released in early 2009.

In an episode of MTV’s This Is How I Made It , the “Amen” rapper talked about how his jail sentence made him want to turn his life around.

“In jail, you ain’t got nothing to do but sit in there and think all day,” he said. “I just [didn’t] wanna die, I [didn’t] wanna get shot or get life in jail because that’s the usual script. I ended up going about 20-something months and realized that wasn’t the place I wanted to be.”

Where he wanted to be instead was the music industry.

“I really put my life into rapping,” he added. “They let me out on house arrest and the judge gave me permission to go to the studio, and that taught me another lesson because every day [I was] going straight to the studio for 12 hours straight and I started putting up six songs a day for three months straight — that’s what gave me my little jump start.”

Sadly, gun violence claimed the life of Mill’s protege, Addarren Ross, also known as Lil Snupe. The 18-year-old was murdered around 4:00 am on June 20 in Winnfield, Louisiana. It was originally reported that he was killed during a dice game, but the Winnfield Police Department denied that claim, but confirmed that Snupe know his alleged killer. Police later identified the suspect as 36-year-old Tony D. Holden .
