McDonald’s is selling their secret sauce and donating the proceeds to Ronald McDonald House charities. The first bottle is being sold on eBay’s online auction house in Australia, and while the bidding started at less than a buck, it’s already exceeded $18,000 (USD) so if you’re looking to win that first bottle of secret sauce, you’ll have to bid more than $18,000.
A McDonald’s customer in Japan purchased a Big Mac meal and found a human tooth in their fries , Inquisitr reported earlier today.
While AdWeek reports customers will not be able to “pay with lovin’,” the report also indicates that Australia will be selling tiny tubs of the stuff for a mere 50 cents this month.
With only 200 bottles of “Big Mac in a bottle” scheduled for production, some might find it conceivable to pay thousands of dollars for the trademark Special Sauce which The Independent notes has been “an integral part of the Big Mac since its inception.”
Prior to now, the sought-after condiment has been transported in sealed canisters to restaurants where it was then dispensed by what is known as a sauce gun.
McDonald’s Canada replied in the form of a YouTube video to Christine H. of Oshawa’s question, “What is in the sauce that is in the Big Mac?”

McDonald’s goes that much further in their video reply to Christine’s inquiry and demonstrates how to make a homemade Big Mac with ingredients found at the grocery store.
The chef in the video, McDonald’s executive chef Dan Courdreaut, makes a point to say that the meat being used in the video is “100% beef, just like in the restaurants.”
On eBay, the description of the first 500ml bottle up for auction reads as follows.
“For too long Big Mac Special Sauce has been trapped in a beautiful, delicious burger – now we’ve set it free!
“This bottle is #1 of only 200 being produced worldwide, and they won’t be sold in restaurants. That makes it rarer than a spot on Bondi beach on New Years Day.
“So slide the mustard, mayo and tomato sauce to the back of the fridge – because everything tastes better when it tastes like the Big Mac.”
The item’s description goes on to say that with “500ml to play with, you’ll have enough to impress your friends at dinner parties, cheat your way to cooking show fame, and get elected as Prime Minister!”
The auction on eBay Australia , which has already received 135 bids, indicates that the listing is restricted to pre-approved bidders. The condition of the item is brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged. PayPal and Bank Deposit payments are accepted and there is a seven day money back guarantee in which the buyer pays return postage.
The auction, which on began February 19, 2015, ends on February 26.
