Maroon 5 will be making its fourth appearance as the musical guest on the November 17 episode of Saturday Night Live . They last appeared on the show in November 2011. The episode will be hosted by first-timer, The Bourne Legacy star, Jeremy Renner.

The Reno Gazette-Journal notes that Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine “has been making NBC his personal network.” Levine, who is a judge on the network’s singing competition The Voice , has appeared on SNL both as a member of Maroon 5 and as a solo artist when Kanye West was a musical guest. The two recorded the song “Heard ‘Em Say” together in 2005.

Levine had also appeared in the “Digital Short” segment “Iran So Far” that same year.

RGJ columnist Mike Hughes said, “The NBC link works well. Before ‘Voice,’ Maroon 5 only had one single reach Billboard’s top-10. This year, it’s had two at No. 1 and one at No. 2; four albums (two of them old ones) made the top 10.”

Billboard announced Wednesday that the band’s new song, “One More Night,” from their 2012 album Overexposed had tied Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” for the most number of weeks at the number one spot on the Hot 100. Both songs had been at the top for nine weeks, but “One More Night” could pass its predecessor next week. The song was the band’s third number one single on the Hot 100.

Shortly after Overexposed was released on June 26, Maroon 5 announced that they had begun working on their as-of-yet-untitled fifth studio album, which will be a close followup to its predecessor.
