With less than a week to go before he takes his wedding vows, Maroon 5’s lead singer Adam Levine is looking forward to the day. “I definitely feel like I’m sitting in the chair I’m supposed to be sitting in right now,” the 35-year-old singer told People Magazine . “It all feels very natural.”
One thing we can be certain of, however, is that Fox News will not be invited to attend. There’s currently a Twitter battle going on between the network and the actor/musician, who recently asked them not to play his songs .
July 19 is the day Adam will be marrying Victoria’s Secret supermodel Behati Prinsloo in a private ceremony to be held at a Mexican resort. And for Levine, it may seem like a bit of a break in his otherwise “busy and chaotic” world.
He said:
“A lot of really amazing things are going on in my life. For me to not embrace that would be foolish and exhausting. It’s just fun. All I can say is it just feels right.”
One of the big things going on for Adam recently was the launch of an acting career — something which at one time he’d thought of as “selling out,” but which The Inquisitr recently reported that he is interested in after all. See this article for more on that.
Adam and Behati reportedly are looking forward to starting a family as soon as the honeymoon begins. Adam would have had no qualms about starting sooner, but Bahati wanted to “do it right,” since she’d been raised in quite a religious environment.
Another thing making Adam’s world a bit busy is the upcoming season of The Voice , the NBC show on which he appears.
All of the good things coming Adam’s way have left him feeling “ so blessed ,” and he’s glad to have overcome the problems in his past. He says he can truly relate to the character he plays in Begin Again as he struggled his way into the limelight.
“Granted, it wasn’t the same experience. But all of a sudden you have much more at your disposal — girls, money, alcohol, whatever. Your vices become magnified. You get to the edge of a cliff, and if you jump off you’re screwed.”
So, how involved is Adam in the upcoming wedding plans? “We’re doing our thing. It’s not like we’re that involved. We’re involved in that we’re doing what we want to do, when we want to do it, with people we want to do it with,” he explained. “Can you imagine me as a planner? I’m probably going through more than you think and less than you think as well. We’re pretty detached from the process. We just want to do it. It won’t be typical, I can tell you that.”
