A man is accused of shooting an 11-year-old boy with a BB gun as a form of revenge. Albert Clark, 31, shot the boy in the chest at George Washington Elementary School basketball court in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, on Sunday.

WPXI 11 News reports that the unidentified boy was rushed to the hospital with a BB pellet in his heart . He had surgery to have it removed and get further treatment. A neighbor saw the boy struggling to breathe and going in and out of consciousness, so she took him to the hospital.

According to the complaint, Clark told police that he shot the 11-year-old with a BB gun after the boy himself allegedly shot his 5-year-old son with one on Saturday. He confessed to shooting at the boy once and missed — so, he fired a second time and struck the 11-year-old in the heart.

Clark told police he was upset after the 11-year-old victim shot his 5-year-old son with a BB one day earlier and shot at him again on Sunday. He’s being charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and other charges.

Pittsburgh Action News 4 adds in its coverage that Clark’s fiancee said the 11-year-old broke into their house and robbed it with a group of friends the week before he fired his BB gun at Clark’s 5-year-old son.

Clark’s fiancee — wanting to be identified only as “Nicole — wants people to know she isn’t making any excuses for what happened.

“I just would want people to know that I’m not excusing any behavior, wrong is wrong, and as a mother I definitely am very sorry.”

“Nicole” did defend Clark by saying that he’s a “good guy” who is a “good father” with no prior criminal record. On the other hand, Clark’s fiancee feels terrible about the boy being shot by him.

“The outcome of it is terrible and I feel very bad and I pray to god that he’s going to be OK,” Clark’s fiancee said.

Clark was arraigned Monday morning and his bail is set at $250,000. June 1 is his next court date.

As of Monday, authorities report that the victim’s condition is improving.

In a very similar story to the man shooting an 11-year-old with a BB gun, the Inquisitr wrote about a cop who got drunk and shot kids with a BB gun who were playing in the park. The incident happened in Oneida, Tennessee. Luckily, none of the kids were seriously injured.
