Mama June and Sugar Bear have lost that lovin’ feeling, and some say it is because fame from their reality show ruined their relationship. According to Radar Online , an old friend of the family, Doris Phillips, talked about how things changed for the Thompsons once they got famous .
“They don’t socialize much with the community anymore. When they got famous they didn’t have much communication with us. But they’ve always been so nice. I don’t know them having problems with anyone around town,” explained Phillips. Apparently fame really does change some people.

Mama June and Sugar Bear announced their separation last week. As previously reported by The Inquisitr , the couple split after June Shannon found out that Mike Thompson, 42, had made profiles on dating websites and was meeting women online. It is unknown if Mike actually had any sexual relations with these women, but June kicked him to the curb once she found out about his antics.
Since the couple was never actually married they won’t need to get a divorce, but June seemed pretty clear when she said that she and Mike were taking some time apart. While it doesn’t sound like the two are completely through, most people could read between the lines of June’s public statement.
“Sugar Bear and I have decided to take some time apart to figure out some things in our relationship. We are taking things day by day but regardless of what happens the girls will always be our #1 priority. We want to thank ya’ll for your support.”
Mama June has been spotted since she and Sugar Bear broke up, and she did not look too happy . According to pictures posted by Mail Online , June looks very sad, depressed even, and that is totally understandable. The 35-year-old has been seen out and about without her “wedding” ring (she and Sugar Bear had a commitment ceremony in which they exchanged rings) — and without a smile on her face. Obviously this is a very hard time for her and for her kids. It is something that no one ever wants to go through.
