The filming locations for the next Captain America movie have been announced.
Comic Book Resources is reporting that Anthony Mackie, who is reprising his role as the Falcon in Captain America 3: Civil War from Captain America: The Winter Soldier , told a radio station in Chicago of the locations the movie will be filming at.
“We start shooting in April, so it’s going to a lot of flying and fighting for about five months,” said the actor, who will be suiting up to reprise the role of Sam Wilson/Falcon.
Mackie revealed the Captain America 3: Civil War shooting locations when he was asked by Kevin Costner. Both actors appeared on a local Chicago radio show to promote their upcoming film Black or White .
Mackie revealed to the listening audience that the cast and crew would be traveling to Berlin, Puerto Rico, and Atlanta, Georgia. Mackie will join Chris Evans as Captain America and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. Civil War will also introduce actor Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther and Daniel Bruhl as the film’s villain. Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), and Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) are also expected to return.
Movieweb is reporting that the movie will deal with superheroes reinvestigating their motives and which side they are on concerning the Superhero Registration Act. In the movie, anyone possessing superhero powers must register in order to continue utilizing their powers, but may only use those powers to help a new superhero police force. Captain America is against the act, feeling it hinders his and others liberties. Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, is for the act, setting up a classic superhero showdown.
This will start to show Stark as an anti-hero, for not only backing the bill, but fighting other superheroes who are for it. Stark, who is becoming one of the more responsible, relied-on superhero, now must contend with conflicting feelings about his estranged comrades and what the new Act truly means to the future of his superhero cohorts, as well as himself. Those superheroes against the bill go on the run to avoid getting arrested, and to be able to convince people that the bill is unnecessary.
Captain America 3: Civil War will be released and in theaters on May 6, 2016, directed by Andrew and Joe Russo, and starring Chris Evans as Captain America/Steve Rogers and Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man/Tony Stark.
