Lisa Rinna and her co-stars, Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards, spoke of Yolanda Foster’s Lyme disease diagnosis on last night’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 6. During their chat, Lisa Rinna brought up the idea of Munchausen syndrome.

While discussing the confusion surrounding Foster’s illness, as well as her unconventional forms of treatment, Lisa Rinna described the disorder, claiming those with Munchausen syndrome often fake illness and physical symptoms in an effort to gain sympathy. Lisa Rinna also noted that she had been confronted by many different people who had questioned the authenticity of Foster’s health struggles.

Although there doesn’t appear to be any physical evidence of Foster faking her diagnosis, by any means, her social media feed is often confusing due to her many trips and activities, which are mixed with sad moments and heartbreaking photos of her ongoing treatments.

Immediately after bringing up the idea of Munchausen syndrome, Lisa Rinna began to get upset, claiming she felt bad for even saying such a thing and expressed her interest in talking to Foster directly about the rumors going around town about her illness. On December 23, Lisa Rinna further explained her sentiments in her Bravo blog.

“The conversation of Yolanda and her health challenges came up as we have seen happen quite often these days and I took this opportunity to really open up to the girls,” Lisa Rinna wrote to readers. “As we know, Lisa V. and Kyle have had numerous conversations questioning Yolanda’s health and her decisions and I felt safe among this group of friends to confide about how these same conversations were not only happening among our inner circle but in my outer circle of friends as well as with strangers.”

“I am no doctor and I don’t claim to be a doctor, nor do I want to give anyone a diagnosis,” Lisa Rinna continued. “The word Munchausen was brought to me by my friend that these girls do not personally know, and I felt this was a safe place to bring it up.”

Lisa Rinna went on to reveal she was owning her comments but admitted she definitely wasn’t feeling good about bringing up the issue with Vanderpump and Richards. According to Lisa Rinna, she shouldn’t have engaged in the conversation that was “naive” about Lyme disease.

“I now know I need to tell Yolanda, as Eileen said, you need to talk to Yolanda about it, and I believe that to be true,” Lisa Rinna concluded.

In other news, Lisa Rinna has landed her own talk show, which will reportedly air on NBC. While the series hasn’t yet officially been announced, the reality star and mother of two revealed the exciting news to Heather Dubrow of The Real Housewives of Orange County on her podcast series, Heather Dubrow World .

Earlier this month, But In Reality reported on the upcoming project, revealing the series would also include Scott Wolf, Kelis, and Al Jackson.

“I got a talk show,” Lisa Rinna announced to Dubrow. “I auditioned my little tush off six times. We are a motley crew. You would not pick us for a jury, us four.”

Lisa Rinna joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for Season 5, along with Eileen Davidson, replacing former housewives Carlton Gebbia and Joyce Giraud. Since then, she and Davidson have starred on the series in full-time roles.
