Lamar Odom has opened up about his feelings for Khloe Kardashian three years following their divorce.
According to People magazine, the former NBA player sat down for an interview with Jenny McCarthy on her SiriusXM radio show this week and revealed that he still has a lot of love for his former wife.
Odom told McCarthy that Kardashian is still the love of his life, despite their rocky marriage and the circumstances that led to their split.
When asked whether or not there “might be a chance” of reconciliation between Khloe and Lamar, Odom told the radio host that that is a question that Kardashian would have to answer.
“I don’t know, you probably would have to ask her. I hope. I wake up hoping that, but you probably would have to ask her,” Lamar said of his hopes of getting back together with Khloe.
Odom went on to reveal that he once threatened to kill Kardashian while he was high on cocaine and ecstasy.
“When you’re an addict, sometimes you go into these dark, dark, extremely dark places. And because of what I’ve witnessed when I was a child, there’s no way anybody can even pay me to hit my wife. But you know, when you hallucinating out of your f—ing mind, you can’t control yourself. You’re not the same person,” Lamar said of the low moment.
However, even if Lamar Odom doesn’t get a second chance at love with Khloe Kardashian, he is still hoping that she may want to decorate the next home he buys himself.
“The next house that I buy, hopefully she can decorate it. They’re amazing decorators, they’re amazing homemakers,” Lamar said of Khloe and her famous family.
In Odom’s new book, Darkness to Light , he opens up about the ups and downs of his marriage to Kardashian and reveals that he has major regrets for how he treated her while they were together.
Lamar said that he wishes he was a better man for his former wife, admitted that he cheated on her multiple times with various women, and hid his drug abuse from his wife for a long time.
However, despite it all, Odom claims that he still hopes to become friends with Kardashian and her family once again, saying he misses Khloe and her siblings, especially her brother, Rob, whom he became very close to.
