Lady Gaga has found her next acting role thanks to Ryan Murphy. Gaga will join the fifth season of American Horror Story . Just like with previous seasons, we’ve been kept in the dark about what this fifth season will represent as far as theme, but Lady Gaga’s inclusion gives us a few clues.
The announcement of Gaga joining American Horror Story was announced by FX, and Gaga posted a promotional video on her Twitter to highlight the upcoming season.

As far as clues go, Ryan Murphy did tell Entertainment Weekly that season four left a small clue about what’s in store for season five.
In season four, Maggie is given a cup of coffee, and on the cup is a top hat. When asked if that was a clue for season five, Murphy confirmed. “That is a big season five clue! It’s an arcane clue, but it’s very purposeful, and it illuminates something that you’ll be like, “Oh! You dirty b******!”
Another clue given straight from Gaga’s video is that this season will take place in a hotel. This is the first time we’re hearing about this theme. We don’t know how the top hat and hotel will collide, but if we learned anything, it’s that everything has a purpose in the American Horror Story series.
If you’ve been paying attention to all things American Horror Story , then you know that all of the seasons are intertwined with each other, which was explored during season four when characters from other seasons crossed over.
At the time, Murphy said, “They’re all connected. We’re just beginning to tell you how they’re connected. They’re all very separate but there’s clues every season that we’re now telling you how the different worlds are intertwined.”
As for Lady Gaga, this is yet another stab at acting. Prior to her role on American Horror Story , whatever it may be, she appeared in Machete Kills , and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For . That said, this is pretty special since it’s her first television arc.
