Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney are taking a break, but they could be breaking up. Although Gaga has expressed a desire to reconcile with her soul mate, many others are saying it won’t happen. Speculations are running wild.
On The Wendy Williams Show , Wendy speculates the couple will not get back together, and if they try, it won’t work. On Wednesday, Wendy suggested that the engagement had gone on too long without a wedding, adding that couples who do not tie the knot within a year of engagement usually end up never getting married to each other. The “Hot Topics” hostess then said that breaks simply do not work.
“I don’t believe breaks work because breaks give you too much freedom to do other things.”

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney have cited their reasons for the break, stating that their schedules require them to be apart so much. It is hard for ordinary couples to imagine the pressures of celebrity relationships. They are watched, scrutinized, and judged perpetually in the media. No one really knows if Gaga and Taylor will make it through all the trials of a long-distance relationship with the cameras always on them, but we do know that they made it for five years under those conditions.

“Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared.”
Wendy Williams said on Wednesday that it was Lady Gaga who had been putting off the wedding. If she is sincere in wanting her relationship with Mr. Kinney, why is she holding up the wedding?
“Why does she keep canceling when they are getting married?”
Lady Gaga, on the other hand, is having the biggest year of her stellar career. Everyone wants her to perform virtually everywhere. She’s really gone beyond just touring and making guest appearances. She is tremendously busy with important opportunities that she would have to be insane to turn down. Was she supposed to postpone the Super Bowl or decline to perform at the Oscars?
Wendy Williams made another speculation on Thursday. Perhaps Taylor Kinney is jealous of his Lady’s success. Mr. Kinney has made 10 movies in the past nine years. He’s been on two hit TV shows as well, so he is certainly no failure.
Still, Lady Gaga is on fire this year. Not only has she become a household name, but she sang at the Superbowl, the Grammy Awards, and the Oscars. Everyone knows her. Kinney’s name is hardly mentioned anymore except in the context of his relationship with his beautiful Lady.
Wendy Williams pointed out Taylor Kinney never won anything. Although Mr. Kinney has achieved a certain level of success and attention for his role as Mason Lockwood on The Vampire Diaries and his current role as Lieutenant Kelly Severide on Chicago Fire , could Taylor be hurting for a bit of recognition as something other than Gaga’s beau?
Lady Gaga won a Golden Globe this year for her performance in American Horror Story: Hotel , and that may have put Taylor Kinney right over the edge, speculates Wendy Williams. While Gaga’s fabulous success in music might not have impacted the actor, her success as an actress would be completely different.
Wendy Williams likened Gaga’s amazing success as an actress to someone knocking the ball out of the park the first time they picked up a bat. Ms. Williams speculates that Taylor may not be content in Gaga’s shadow.
Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney have called for a break for whatever reason, and Mother Monster has asked us all to “root” for their relationship. She says she wants this to work. Think of all the things Mother Monster has wanted. Just how many of those never happened? If fans are going to root, then root they will for a couple of winners like Gaga and Taylor.
Wendy Williams could be right, but if Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney are really in love as they appear to be, why shouldn’t it work out?
