Michael Girgenti, the male model who claims that he is the father of Kourtney Kardashian’s son, isn’t letting a DNA test stop him from asserting his paternity.
DNA results proved that Kardashian’s boyfriend, Scott Disick, is indeed the father of her son, Mason. But Girgenti said he isn’t convinced , and that the results could have easily been faked. Girgenti is refusing to drop his paternity lawsuit against Kardashian, and said he wants a court-monitored DNA test to settle the matter.
Girgenti claimed that he slept with Kardashian in March 2009 — nine months before she gave birth to Mason. The Chicago native said they first met at a photo shoot for 944 magazine , and that they kept in touch through BlackBerry Messenger. Girgenti said that he and Kardashian slept together about a year later at his Glendale apartment, when she was going through a rough patch with Disick. He said they didn’t use protection because he assumed she was on the pill.
Girgenti said he knew Mason was his son as soon as he saw a picture of him, and that he had been trying to contact Kardashian, but she wouldn’t return his messages.
“I would definitely want to acknowledge Mason if he’s my kid – he deserves to know his real father,” Girgenti said.
Disick disputed the claim and said that the night Girgenti supposedly slept with Kardashian never happened.
“Honestly, we don’t even know the guy. The one time we did see him was at a photo shoot,” he said. “The kid has nothing he can say.”
After providing the DNA results, Kardashian said she didn’t want to acknowledge Girgenti’s claims, but wanted to squash the rumor once and for all.
“After three-and-a-half years of rumors and lies being spread by an individual I met briefly at a photo shoot, I am setting the record straight that Scott is Mason’s father,” she said. “While it saddens me to have to address these ridiculous lies — especially when the truth was never in doubt — this story must be put to rest.”
Michael Girgenti is also suing Kourtney Kardashian for joint custody of Mason. A court hearing has been set for next month.
