The Kodak Playsport Video Camera was announced months ago and now the HD handheld video camera is ready to arrive with some nice features for an entry level option.
The PlaySport offers waterproofing up to 10 feet of depth, while capturing HD video at 1080P with 30FPS. Users can also grab 5MP HD stills with a 16:9 ratio and the integrated 2 inch Color LCD offers a glare shield.
The unit offers image stabilization and easy to access control on the backside of the device, while featuring SD and SDHC memory card support up to 32GB with 10 hours of HD video capturing available when full storage capabilities are implemented. The device also provides direct image uploading to various social networks including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and other networks.
According to SlashGear the PlaySport is available in Abyss (black), Wave Crash (blue), and Adrenaline Rush (purple) coloring. The unit will put a $149.99 hole in your pocket, a cheap price to pay for even semi-decent HD video recording.
