Kim Kardashian’s wardrobe malfunction channeled Marilyn Monroe’s classic pose over a grate that blew her skirt up. Kardashian, wearing a cute, short maternity dress, suffered a small issue that was quickly snapped by paparazzi.
The reality TV star, pregnant with rapper boyfriend Kanye West’s baby, was out in Beverly Hills when the problem happened.
The heavily pregnant Kardashian wore the striped Kardashian Kollection dress with a black blazer, handbag, and flat sandals. As she walked down the street, a gust of wind attempted to blow her dress up .
The near-wardrobe malfunction was oddly reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe’s iconic pose in The Seven Year Itch . Photos of the incident showed Kim Kardashian attempting to push down the billowing dress and keep herself from exposing her baby belly — and probably much more — to the cameras.
Thankfully, Kim managed to avoid the embarrassing wardrobe problem. But despite the tasteful dress , the reality star is still under heavy criticism for her wardrobe and shoe choices, along with her diet, during pregnancy.
The star posted at least two photos to Twitter and Instagram showing heavily swollen feet after a day of walking. Several tabloids have also posted unflattering photos and claimed that Kardashian is eating everything she can get her hands on. Despite the claims, Kim looks as good as ever, and her bump is getting bigger every day.
Kim is expecting her first child in July and rumor has it the baby will be a girl. While the baby shower invite appeared to confirm the rumors by featuring a ballerina music box, the baby’s gender will officially be revealed in the first episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians . The episode will air on June 2.
Along with criticism of Kim, her baby’s father, Kanye West has been singled out for his rare appearances with the star after they announced the pregnancy. But sister Khloe defended the couple and shut down rumors this week when she said, “Kim and Kanye ae 100% still together and we are waiting for Kim’s baby.”
