Kim and Kanye decided to buy a mansion in Bel Air for $11 million, giving the couple a spacious place to raise their yet-unborn child.
The couple, who announced their pregnancy last month, decided to buy the mansion and renovate it to better fit their little one, E! News reported. The mansion for Kim and Kanye will reportedly feature a number of amenities, including a gym, movie theater, basketball court, and a fully equipped hair and makeup salon.
A source told Us Weekly that Kim and Kanye were seen checking out the place on Wednesday, January 2 along with Scott Disick. The mansion is originally 10,000 square feet, but Kim and Kanye reportedly plan to tear down the original structure and rebuild it as an Italian-style villa.
The mansion that Kim and Kanye will buy puts them amidst other celebrities, including Jennifer Aniston, Sarah Michelle Geller, and Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis. And when brother-in-law Lamar Odom visits he’ll have someone to shoot hoops with — NBA star and Olympic gold medalist Chris Paul lives nearby.
The couple has been immersed in baby talk since announcing Kim’s pregnancy on December 30. Kanye West spilled the news at a concert in Atlantic City, while Kim has talked about how excited she is to start her family.
“We feel so blessed and lucky,” Kardashian wrote the next day on her blog. “Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family.”
As Kim and Kanye buy a mansion for their family, Kim still has some unfinished business from her last relationship. Her divorce from NBA player Kris Humphries is still being processed, leading to some confusion over whether the state of California presumes that he is the father of Kim’s unborn baby.
