Kim Dotcom, the CEO behind the government closed Megaupload has announced to his fans that an all new Megaupload is nearly complete.

The announcement comes just nine months after Dotcom was arrested in New Zealand at the request of American authorities. US officials wanted to extradite Kim Dotcom to the United States where he would stand trial for copyright fraud and encouraging online piracy. After a judge ruled the Megaupload.com founders home was searched illegally the case drew to its current standstill.

At this time Kim Dotcom has not hinted at what a new reincarnation of Megaupload might look like, however in December he wrote on the TorrentFreak website that he was working on Megabox.com, a website that would allow artists to sell their creations direct to consumers while keeping 90% of all earnings. In August Kim Dotcom hinted that Megabox.com and a new rendition of Megaupload would both reach market before the end of 2012.

Over the last several months Kim Dotcom has been no stranger to Twitter, using the social network to keep fans and customers of Megaupload in the loop regarding his legal battle. Dotcom has also used Twitter to send cryptic messages about his upcoming projects which remain shrouded in secrecy.

Here is the most recent Kim Dotcom tweet to give fans of Megaupload hope for the future:

Quick update on the new Mega: Code 90% done. Servers on the way. Lawyers, Partners & Investors ready. Be patient. It’s coming.
