Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid’s friendship is apparent not only on the runway, but in real life, as they are often seen hanging out with each other when they are not modelling. In addition, they also hang out together with their sisters, Kylie Jenner and Bella Hadid.
Is there a reason why these two young models are exceptionally close? Apparently, they are related — sort of.
As we all know, Gigi Hadid’s mother, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Yolanda Foster, is married to David Foster. David Foster, Hadid’s step-father, was married to Linda Thompson, who is an ex-wife of Bruce Jenner, now known as Caitlyn Jenner, Kendall’s dad.
Caitlyn Jenner was married to Linda Thompson from 1981 to 1985, and she was married to David Foster from 1991 to 2005.
So, after all the connections, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid are sort of ex-step-sisters, which may be the reason why they have a tight friendship. Gigi Hadid further explains her connection to Kendall Jenner a video by Vanity Fair .

Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid have been spotted in different locations around the globe, and not just because they’re on their modelling job. These two models and best friends actually love to spend time with each other outside their work.
Just last week, Kendall and Gigi were spotted in LA donning similar looks and hairdos, as the Daily Mail reported. The two went shopping for underwear, as they were seen carrying bags from La Perla, a high-end lingerie store.
Kendall and Gigi have a good relationship, but being models, some people compare them to each other. However, this does not affect Gigi, as she says that she and Kendall have different looks , reported Harper’s Bazaar.
“I don’t feel competition like that. Especially in a job like this — we look different, like Hailey [Baldwin] is brunette now. So literally, if they want Kendall [Jenner], they’re not going to want someone who looks like me. It’s completely different. I think friendships are a lot more valuable than on job. If you’re going to let it ruin that, then that’s stupid.”
