Kelly Osbourne might have thought she was coming from a well-intentioned place, but she quickly found out that her comments on the Latin community weren’t welcome while on The View .

During a Hot Topics segment on The View , the group of women were speaking about Donald Trump’s offensive remarks about the Latino community. Osbourne, who thought Trump’s comments were offensive, wound up sticking her foot in her mouth as she tried to defend the Latin community.

Whoopi Goldberg said, “Yeah, well, what are you gonna do? He’s confident that his poll numbers are just going to keep on rising.”

Goldberg played a clip of Trump claiming that he had the Hispanic vote, which he said is based on recent polls. After discussing the polls, Osbourne said, “If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?”

In one comment, Kelly made a sweeping generalization about the Hispanic community, which shocked the co-panelists. Osbourne then fumbled with her words, “In the sense that… you know what I mean? But I’m saying that in L.A., they always…” Rosie Perez, who has vehemently spoken out against Donald Trump since he made the derogatory remarks against Mexicans, interrupted Osbourne. “Latinos are not only…”

Osbourne quickly realized how her comment might have been taken by everyone and said, “No, I didn’t mean it like that! Come on! I would never mean it like that! I’m not part of this argument.”

By the end of the show it seemed like both parties had made up. Perez apologized to Osbourne, “I want to apologize to this young woman once again for being overly sensitive.”

Osbourne replied, “You have every right.” Rosie corrected her, “No, Kelly Osbourne is on our side and I was sensitive. My disdain should go to only Donald Trump, so I’m sorry, darling.”

Even though both ladies made up, Twitter didn’t exactly think Kelly should get a pass.

Kelly Osbourne’s comments wasn’t simply about reducing Latin@s to labor, it was about reducing Latin@s to labor in service to white people

You were wrong this morning. To perpetuate the stereotypes re: Latin@s. It’s you who should be apologizing. Do better. @KellyOsbourne
