Keith Urban ended the American leg of his ‘Light the Fuse’ tour on February 1, and really must love the road. Urban announced his ‘Raise ‘Em Up’ tour will kick off on July 12 in Canada at the Calgary Stampede. That is a whopping five moths between tours. Urban will barely have time to catch his breath. After playing two dates in Canada, Urban will kick off the US leg of the tour at The Borgata in Atlantic City, New Jersey on July 17, and the last date is scheduled in Puyallup, Washington for September 13th. Urban and tour mates Jerrod Neimann and Brett Eldredge will cross the country in between, performing a total of twenty-seven shows in that span.

Urban is still promoting his Fuse CD; the new tour is named for the duet with Eric Church of the same name that appears on Fuse . The name of the tour has caused speculation that Eric Church may join Keith on some of the dates. Urban did not comment on that, but did give a few hints as to what fans can expect during the “Raise ‘Em Up” tour:

“The ‘Raise ‘Em Up’ tour will be a complete build from the sky down. New staging, new production, a lot more songs from Fuse that the fans have been requesting, a different mix of previous hits and some rarities from past albums that we haven’t played in a while, if ever. And we’ll be sharing the stage with Brett and Jerrod, both with killer new albums.”

With all new staging and productions, plans for this tour had to have started long before the Light the Fuse tour featuring Little Big Town and Dustin Lynch, was over. Urban is also playing eight shows in his and wife Nicole Kidman’ s native Australia during the month of June; but these dates were not announced as part of the Raise ‘Em Up tour. Urban’s website also lists four additional shows in the US during March, April and May…talk about a road warrior. Considering that Urban has sixteen number one singles and eight studio CDs, he will have plenty of material to chose from for ‘Raise ‘Em Up’ to keep fans coming back.

Jerrod Niemann, who will be joining Urban, will be releasing his CD High Noon , featuring the single ‘Drink To That All Night’ on March 25th. Brett Eldredge, who will have the first opening slot on Urban’s tour, scored a number one single in August of 2013 with “Don’t Ya”, and has one studio CD, Bring You Back under his belt.

Tickets for select dates are already available for purchase.
