Are they dating? Are they not? The question of whether Katy Perry and John Mayer are dating seems to constantly swirl around the musical couple, but recent reports lend fuel to the rumors that the couple may be back together again.
According to People , Mayer and Perry both attended Girls star Allison Williams’ wedding in Saratoga, Wyoming on Saturday.

Though the musicians arrived separately (on separate private jets), Mayer and Perry were obviously thrilled to see one another. They were so happy to be together, People reports, that they held hands throughout the entire wedding ceremony.
“John and Katy looked happy. They held hands and sat next to each other during the wedding ceremony.”
Perry and Mayer split in February of 2014, but they were rumored to have gotten back together in January of 2015. Since then, the pair of superstar musicians have been spotted together on a few separate occasions.
In July, for example, Mayer and Perry were seen hanging out together at a Grateful Dead concert. The news is in contrast with reports from September 16, when John Mayer was spotted on a date with a “petite blonde” at West Hollywood hot spot E.P. & L.P. According to Us Weekly , Mayer was also holding that woman’s hand throughout the dinner.
“They were definitely on a date. They were sitting really close to each other intensely talking and, at one point, they were holding hands.”
Reportedly, during the meal another patron of the restaurant was wearing a Katy Perry t-shirt. Reports indicate that the “Your Body Is a Wonderland” didn’t pay the Katy Perry fan any mind.

At the same time, Us Weekly reported that the relationship between Perry and Mayer is one “of convenience.”
“It’s always on and off. She’s young and doesn’t want to be too tied down again. It’s more of a relationship of convenience and it isn’t always so black and white.”
