Katy Perry and John Mayer are on again.
After breaking up twice and getting back together each time, the couple is now on a run of a few months and appear to be doing better than ever. The two were seen recently having a romantic dinner at Arlington Club Steakhouse in New York, with Katy donning a pair of thigh-high black boots for her man.
For Katy Perry, it marks a long road back since her divorce from husband Russell Brand. In an interview with Billboard, the 28-year-old singer said after Brand told her via text that he wanted a divorce she had thoughts of suicide.
Katy got over it, but said her pain turned to anger when she found out that Russell was making fun of her during his comedy sets.
“He started making jokes about me and he didn’t know I was in the audience,” she said. “Because I had come to surprise him at one of his shows.”
But she seems much better now, raving about John Mayer not only as a boyfriend, but as a superior intellect.
“I always tell him, ‘Darling, you know I’m going to have to give your mind to science after you’ve passed, because we’re going to have to understand how all these sparks work,’ ” Perry said.
Katy Perry and John Mayer have a little bit more time to enjoy New York. She is set to serve as the musical guest for Saturday Night Live, with Bruce Willis hosting.
