Katie Couric and boyfriend John Molner are engaged. The upcoming nuptials were confirmed by Katie Couric’s spokesman Matthew Hitzik.
The 50-year-old Molner and 56-year-old Couric have been dating for nearly two years.
According to reports, Couric was presented with a diamond ring by her financier boyfriend over the weekend in East Hampton.
Molner is a partner at investment firm Brown Brothers Harriman. He oversees mergers and acquisitions advisory work for his company’s corporate clients.
Couric was previously married to Jay Monahan, who passed away in 1998 after losing his battle with colon cancer. Couric is the mother of 17- and 21-year-old daughters.
It’s a big year for Katie Couric. Not only is she engaged; her new show Katie also enters its second season on Monday.
Following news of the engagement, Katie tweeted:

Apparently Couric likes to date financiers; she was previously linked to Brooks Perlin.
During a More interview in January 2013, Couric said of her future marriage plans:
“It’s actually surprising to me that it has been almost 15 years and I haven’t remarried. I think life is more fun when you have someone in your life. I always wanted a father figure for my daughters, but it hasn’t worked out that way. I’ve had long-term relationships, but they haven’t turned into life-long partners.”
