Kate Upton is really proud of her curvy body! The supermodel is set to appear this September on the cover of Elle , showcasing the Autumn and Winter trends this year. Fashion giants like Christopher Kane, Dior, and Chloe and Burberry have clamored to get their coolest fourth quarter items on the issue, and no one’s complaining. After all, getting Kate to model these wonderful items is a dream come true for most designers.
In her interview with the fashion mag , Kate revealed her not-so-glamorous life growing up in Florida. Starting out as a normal catalogue model, Kate Upton confessed that she didn’t always have the envied physique that made her a runway star.
“When I first started modeling, I was a normal catalogue model. Then, I became a woman, and I was really excited about becoming a woman. Because I’m from Florida, it’s all about being in bathing suits. It’s a different view of beauty there. You are ugly if you don’t have a curvy body. And I didn’t have one, and then I got one, and thought, ‘Yessss!’”
And we’re also shouting “Yessss!” from down here, Kate! Fans are extremely psyched to see her achieve more things in fashion and modeling. After all, she’s only 22 ! According to Cover Media , Kate Upton sees her mom’s advice as her inspiration to move forward in her career. She says:
“My mom always told me that it’s all about confidence; it’s not about what you’re actually wearing. Anytime you walk into a room, just smile, and nobody will even look at what you’re wearing.”
“Comfort first” seems to be Upton’s daily mantra. When not donning Sports Illustrated bikinis, Kate says she likes going out in casual outfits. Fans might get a little bit of useful advice from this habit. As her mom used to tell her, “It’s all about the confidence”.
Although her acting performance in the frankly dismaying The Other Woman was critically panned, Kate Upton still manages to get even her harshest critics to fall for her. As others put it, she exudes an aura of humility — a trait she is really appreciated for.
Kate has really come a long way, considering that she wasn’t exactly a looker when she was younger. In fact, a recent Inquisitr article revealed that Upton used to smell so bad that she drove boys away from her. We bet those same boys would be doing almost anything now to get a whiff of her scent.
Regardless of how she used to smell, fans will still continue to love the wonderful, self-deprecating goddess that is Kate Upton.
