Kate Middleton has been displaced as the most stylish pregnant woman in the U.K. according to a new poll . So who on earth could be more popular than the Duchess of Cambridge?
The answer is somewhat surprising. Keira Knightley is the most admired pregnant woman in Britain because of her fashion style, even though she is a divisive figure — fans love her or hate her.
The world found out that Knightley, 29 and musician James Righton were pregnant a few weeks ago, ahead of her public appearances for all the awards shows. Fans got to see her baby bump on display at the Golden Globes (she was nominated for her performance in The Imitation Game ), in what many thought was a not-so-flattering gown.
There is no questions that both, Kate Middleton and Keira Knightley are two of the most well-known women not only in the U.K. but around the world and their pregnancies are attracting massive media attention. Naturally, the mothers-to-be are scrutinized every time they make a public appearance and what they choose to wear highly influences other pregnant women.
Kate Middleton’s fashion style has been known to crash websites and in a recent poll it was determined that the Duchess of Cambridge actually contributes to Britain’s economy. Yes, you heard right, as previously reported in the Inquisitr , Prince William’s wife has helped the British ailing economy, bringing in a whopping $1.5 billion pounds in revenues.
However, the British public seems to be fascinated with Keira Knightley’s fashion style as this is her first child and we have not seen her wearing maternity clothes in the past. Of course, Kate Middleton, 33, showed her very own style while she was pregnant with her first child, Prince George.
A recent poll asked 600 women in the U.K. who was the most stylish mom-to-be in the nation and surprisingly it wasn’t Kate Middleton, who is undeniably a fashion icon in the European country. Keira Knightley took the poll with 26 percent to 20 percent for the Duchess.
After another tough start to her pregnancy with acute morning sickness, Kate Middleton is back performing her duties and doing what she does best. Keira Knightley, who is rumored to give birth in May — a month after the royal — has been busy with red carpet appearances during the very busy awards season. Next stop, the Oscars, which will give us yet another opportunity to see what style she uses to display her growing baby bump.
