Kate Hudson and Bear Grylls went on an adventure together for TV’s Running Wild , and the actress totally freaked out while eating ants and conquering a fear of heights. According to Mail Online , a make-up free Hudson was whisked away from her luxurious lifestyle to live life on the wild side.
“Kate, can also be seen confronting her fears when she rappels down the side of a mountain with adventurer. Wearing climbing equipment and a backpack, the blonde star first had to rapel out of a tramway car half way up the mountain before trekking through tunnels to get through the mountain.”
Kate Hudson and Bear Grylls’ Running Wild adventure might be making headlines on the internet today, but, according to The Wrap , Kate’s appearance on the show didn’t do much to boost Grylls’ ratings .
“Coupled with a down ‘American Ninja Warrior,’ a slightly slipped ‘Running Wild’ season premiere led NBC to a tie with ABC atop the key 18-49 demographic. To be fair, ABC’s ‘The Bachelorette’ was also down a little bit, though an up ‘The Whispers’ helped offset that dip.”
Kate Hudson’s appearance on the show seems to be getting more attention now than when it aired last night. Kate was really excited to join Grylls on Running Wild and said that she was ready for the challenge.
“I always like being pushed. And challenged. Sometimes, in life, that’s gotten me into trouble because I sometimes seek challenge. I like to feel like I’m working for something. Even when I’m working on movies, there’s a part of me that always likes days that are tough days…”
Kate Hudson and Bear Grylls shared some pretty candid moments while roughing it. Kate opened up about her step-dad Kurt Russell, and the lack of relationship that she has with her biological father, Bill Hudson . As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Kate and her brother, Oliver, have been publicly disowned by their father. In a statement made after Father’s Day, Bill admitted that he doesn’t consider Kate and Oliver his children anymore.
“I had five birth children but I now consider myself a father of three. I no longer recognize Oliver and Kate as my own. I would ask them to stop using the Hudson name. They are no longer a part of my life. Oliver’s Instagram post was a malicious, vicious, premeditated attack. He is dead to me now. As is Kate. I am mourning their loss even though they are still walking this earth.”
