Kate Gosselin shared a pic of her kids on their first day of school. The photo was really sweet, with eight smiling faces — even happy pup, Shoka, had a smile on his face! The reality star shared the picture on her Twitter account last week, once all of her kids were healthy enough for school, that is. Strep throat struck early this year.
The photo was actually super cute — it’s hard to believe these are the same eight kids that people fell in love with years ago. According to People Magazine , the Gosselin eight (well, nine if you count Shoka) have grown quite a bit!

Kate Gosselin’s kids looked really happy in their first day of school photo, despite some rumors that are going around. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Kate has allegedly been keeping her kids away from their estranged dad, Jon Gosselin. It’s unknown exactly why Kate doesn’t want her children around their dad at this time, and it’s unknown how long it has been since the kids have seen their dad.
Sources close to Jon say that he would love to get full custody of all of his children, even if that isn’t a likely scenario.
“He would love to take her to court and get total custody of his kids. He doesn’t want them on TV and he doesn’t want Kate’s influence on them. He’ll do whatever it takes. Jon feels bad for them. It’s not a normal childhood. They love spending time with Jon and wish they could see him more.”
For the Gosselin kids first day of school photo, Jon Gosselin obviously wasn’t present. He tends to miss out on a lot of his kids’ milestones, which is due to the fact that he and Kate don’t get along.
According to Mail Online , Kate and her kids will be back on TLC around the holidays for a couple of Kate Plus 8 specials that were taped this summer. Jon Gosselin, of course, will not be part of these specials in any way. It is believed that he is angry with Kate for continuing to film. However, Kate says that the kids really love the camera crew and they have a great time filming.
