Dancing with the Stars pro Karina Smirnoff’s new boyfriend is said to be Orange is the New Black star Pablo Schreiber. Though the DWTS star had been single for a bit, it seems she has some romance in her life again. What’s the scoop?
Smirnoff and Schreiber, both 36, were spotted together on September 19 at the Las Vegas iHeartRadio Music Festival. While there were a lot of entertainment stars there, and they did not walk the red carpet together, sources indicate that during the festival Pablo and Karina were quite cozy with one another. Us Weekly says that Karina and Pablo were touchy-feely and flirty during the show, and they seemed to have great chemistry with one another.
Karina is paired with Randy Couture, a retired mixed martial arts fighter, this season on Dancing with the Stars . Pablo played George “Pornstache” Mendez in Orange is the New Black , though as E! Online reported, he will not be in Season 3 of the show . Schreiber is now part of the cast of the new Tim Robbins and Jack Black show called The Brink , which will be on HBO.
As DWTS fans know, past relationships for Smirnoff include engagements to both Maksim Chmerkovskiy and baseball player Brad Penny. She also dated her former Dancing with the Stars partner Mario Lopez for some time after their season together. If Karina is indeed dating Pablo, this is her first romance making headlines since her split with Penny some time ago.
Though there had been buzz that perhaps Karina and Maksim had rekindled their relationship, that seemingly never came to be. Schreiber separated from his wife of seven years, Jessica Monty, this past January. They have two children together. As it happens, Schreiber is the half-brother of actor Liev Schreiber.
It would seem this supposed relationship is still in the early stages. Karina Smirnoff and Pablo Schreiber were said to have enjoyed performances by Usher and the Zac Brown Band at the festival, and then they went on to party together at Beacher’s Madhouse. Whether this new relationship will blossom into something serious, nobody can say quite yet.
