Kanye West may be labeled a rebel by the media and the hip-hop world, but his recent release definitely proves there’s a softer side to Kanye West. On Thursday, January 29, the Yeezus rapper stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show where he released a new music video. However, this video is quite special because it features a cameo from an unlikely little person — his daughter, North West.
The two-minute clip captures a heartfelt moment between the “Power” rapper and his beautiful little girl. The two appear to be on a long winding road where they can be seen walking hand-in-hand. The video, which has been uploaded to EllenTube.com and KanyeWest.com, has already caught the attention of millions.
The lyrics to the touching song were also uploaded to Kanye’s site .
While rumors have been running rampant about the alleged demise of his marriage to Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kim Kardashian, Ellen made reference to a notable difference in the rapper since he’s become a family man. He touched on some of the personal adjustments he’s made since he took on marriage and fatherhood.
West also echoed Ellen’s sentiments and explained how he felt he’d experienced his own version of the “terrible twos” during his “angrier years.” Despite the rumors about his alleged marital problems, he insists his wife has made him a better person.
“‘I’ve definitely learned how to compromise more,’ Kanye said of his marriage to Kim. ‘And I’ve learned how to shut up more. And yeah, I think I’m a better human being because of her and because of my daughter [North].’
“‘I was going through my version of the Terrible Twos,’ West revealed. ‘My daughter, she wants to express herself but she just doesn’t have the words for it. For me, there’s so many things I want to do with film and clothing and I just didn’t have the words or the resources or the backing or the perception that I could do it being a rapper.’”
Kim Kardashian gave birth to North West in June of 2013. She and Kanye West tied the knot in May of 2014.
