Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin are preparing to celebrate their three-year wedding anniversary. On Instagram, just hours before a new episode of Teen Mom 2 features herself and Marroquin at each other’s throats, Kailyn Lowry shared a heartfelt message with fans.
“Our 3 year anniversary is coming up! How crazy that it seems like these past 4 years have flown by! @javim9.”
Kailyn Lowry began dating Marroquin during an earlier season of Teen Mom 2 , after splitting from her boyfriend Jordan. Then, in September 2012, they tied the knot at a local courthouse as cameras rolled for the show. Once year later, Kailyn Lowry and her husband celebrated their quicky wedding with an elaborate second wedding at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ, just outside of Philadelphia, Pa. Since then, they have welcomed one child together, son Lincoln Marshall Marroquin, the second child for Kailyn Lowry, who is also mom to older son Isaac.
While Kailyn Lowry’s marriage to Marroquin has been filled with many happy memories, the couple has also endured many hardships, several of which have played out on the show.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kailyn Lowry and Marroquin appear to be headed for a divorce on season six of the MTV reality series, but, as Kailyn Lowry has made clear both in interviews and on social media, they have since gotten their relationship to a better place. During an interview with Us Weekly earlier this summer, Kailyn Lowry explained her strained relationship with Marroquin, and gave an update on their situation.
“Ultimately we made it through. I just think it was trying to get on the same parenting page with Lincoln, and Lincoln was probably only 6 months old [at the time], and I think it was easier for me to make friends in Delaware, because I would go to my breastfeeding support group, CrossFit, stuff like that. And for him, he’s at work all day.
“There was a point where I was like, ‘You’re going to go to work one day and me and the kids are going to be gone,’ but I think there was a turning point when his mom and his sister sat him down, and they sat him down and they were just like, ‘This is what it is. We’re surprised that she hasn’t left you,’ kind of deal.”
