Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin discussed divorce during the sixth season of Teen Mom 2 , and now, as the cast heads into their seventh season, there appears to be trouble in paradise once again.
Throughout Teen Mom 2 Season 6, Kailyn Lowry and Marroquin fought over her male friends, and her text messages back and forth with said friends, as well as her desire to spend time with her friends over time with her husband. Although Kailyn Lowry assured Marroquin that her conversations with her male friends were never flirty, their drama was ongoing and eventually led the pair to consider parting ways for good.

Although Kailyn Lowry and Marroquin ultimately decided to stay in their marriage, their relationship troubles appear to have continued as they filmed Season 7.
In a sneak peek at next week’s Teen Mom 2 premiere, Kailyn Lowry and her former boyfriend, Jo Rivera, the father of her oldest son, 6-year-old Isaac, are seen getting photographs taken of their children, and afterwards, Kailyn Lowry suggests they all go out to eat. However, while Lowry hopes her husband, Marroquin, who was not present during the photo session, will join them, he is not on board with the plan.
After Isaac calls Marroquin from his mom’s phone to invite him out, Marroquin tells him, “My body hurts.”
“What if we come pick you up,” Kailyn Lowry suggests.
“Kail, I just want to be at home. Like, I spent all day at work… I just want to be at home,” Marroquin explains. “I would appreciate if you dropped off Lincoln so I can hang out with him.”
“No! I’m not going to drive all the way home to drop Lincoln off,” Kailyn Lowry responds.
At that point, Marroquin claims he hasn’t seen his son all weekend, but Kailyn Lowry blames him for not participating in their activities, and claims he is only suggesting she drop off Lincoln because he doesn’t want his son to go to dinner with her and her ex. While Marroquin continues to speak to his wife, Kailyn Lowry has had enough, and hangs up the phone as the preview comes to an end.

Around the time of the Teen Mom 2 Season 6 premiere last year, Kailyn Lowry opened up about her once-troubled marriage, revealing that while she and Marroquin did go through a rocky point in their marriage last year, they were communicating better after filming wrapped.
“I think Javi and I went through a really rough patch that started right before we started filming the season,” Kailyn Lowry explained to Us Weekly last year. “But ultimately we made it through.”
“I just think it was trying to get on the same parenting page with Lincoln, and Lincoln was probably only 6 months old [at the time],” Kailyn Lowry continued of her and Marroquin’s issues. “And I think it was easier for me to make friends in Delaware, because I would go to my breastfeeding support group, CrossFit, stuff like that. And for him, he’s at work all day. So I think that’s, it really was taking a toll on him at that time.”
