Last night Jay Leno signed off on the Tonight Show for the last time after 22 years of hosting. Leno, who had interviewed everyone from the late John F. Kennedy Jr to Justin Timberlake, has been saying goodbye for his official last week hosting the show. Using montages to show some of his highlights, Timberlake made an appearance in the montage for being a part of a clip which saw Shaquille O’Neal picking up Kevin Hart and rocking him like a baby.

Although not everyone is a big fan of Jay Leno, as he had received backlash after coming back to the Tonight Show when NBC decided to fire Conan O’Brien, when it came to saying goodbye for good, some of his most beloved guests, including Timberlake, took to Twitter to send their best wishes.

Justin Timberlake, who these days is practically a co-host with Jimmy Fallon on his Late Night show, paused from his busy schedule touring to give Jay Leno a proper send off on Twitter.

Much love to the one and only @jayleno . Thank you for all the laughs and great times! Also… Can I have a car? No? Ok, cool.

Timberlake wasn’t the only star to give Leno his dues after his two decade plus run on the Tonight Show . Jersey Shore’s Snooki, Sara Bareilles, and Timberlake’s ex Britney Spears all paid respects to the host who had a very emotional sign off.

Leno didn’t just make friends with Justin Timberlake when it came to the figures in Hollywood. Good friends and respected players in the industry joined Leno during his show to say goodbye, including Oprah Winfrey, Carol Burnett, Jack Black, Billy Crystal, and Jim Parsons. Earlier in the month Judd Apatow’s wife Leslie Mann grew emotional during her last appearance on his show. Recounting her first appearance on his show:

“It’s kind of sad to say goodbye. I was thinking about this a lot. It’s a big deal because I moved here twenty two years ago to be an actress, and I watched your show, and I was really lonely and scared. You were always there for me to watch on TV and keep me company. I always dreamed of coming on the show and then you let me come on.”

As for Justin Timberlake he will most likely move on with Leno’s successor Jimmy Fallon. The two have already completed a slew of successful digital shorts, and more recently took SNL by storm by practically co-hosting the show together. While it hasn’t been confirmed there’s no doubt in our minds that Timberlake will be on board for the first week if not the first month for Fallon’s new gig in New York.
