Jurassic World is moving full steam ahead. Previously known as Jurassic Park 4 , the upcoming installment has now found its lead actor who will take over the journey. The Colin Trevorrow-directed 3D spectacle has cast The Kings of Summer actor Nick Robinson in the latest Jurassic Park film.
Robinson will be heading to Universal to star in the latest sequel in the Jurassic Park series. Robinson isn’t the only actor who is in talks to join Jurassic World . So far, the film has nabbed Bryce Dallas Howard and Ty Simpkins, the latter who played Harley Keener in the summer box office hit Iron Man 3 .
The production behind Jurassic World had first secured Bryce Dallas Howard , who had been in talks for months before she agreed. Although plot details haven’t officially been released for Jurassic World , the script is co-written by director Colin Trevorrow, who also directed sci-fi comedy Safety Not Guaranteed , so it’s definitely in more than capable hands.
Of putting together Jurassic World, Trevorrow said to Schmoes Knows :
“We are very aware of how much a certain generation especially cares about this movie and we talk about it all the time in conversations. It’s not about us, it’s not about our careers, it’s – how do we make something that can stand [against the first ‘Jurassic Park’]?”
As far as what we can expect from Jurassic World , paleontologist/film consultant Jack Horner said that we will see a dinosaur that hasn’t been featured in a Jurassic Park film before. According to Horner , moviegoers will be totally spooked by the new addition, having said a viewer may, “want to keep the lights on after you see this movie.”
Aside from not having official confirmation, reports have alluded that the plot will be set in present day Isla Nublar, and involve a dinosaur-themed park that goes wrong.
