Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell may have split in real life, but viewers can still see them playing a couple of television’s Couples Therapy .
The embattled Bachelor couple has been in trouble almost since the beginning, with reports that the much-disliked Juan Pablo only went on the dating show to get famous. Juan Pablo and Nikki have since faced near constant rumors that they are splitting up, though somehow the two have made it a few months as an official, public couple.
Now new reports have surfaced that Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell have split up, but are pretending to continue their relationship so they can get paid for yet another reality television appearance.
“They each got $50,000 to be on ‘Couples Therapy,’ so, of course, that’s why Juan Pablo wanted to do it,” a friend of Nikki’s told Life & Style . “They also just came back from an all-expenses-paid trip to Bali — something that wouldn’t have happened if Juan Pablo wasn’t still with Nikki.”
The source added that Nikki’s friends have grown tired of Juan Pablo and are trying to convince her to leave him for good.
“Everyone thinks she should just dump him already,” the source told the magazine. “Their relationship is exhausting and like an emotional roller coaster for everyone. Plus, they only see each other about once a month!”
But publicly, Nikki Ferrell has defended Juan Pablo and their relationship. Nikki said in a recent interview that she has no plans to move to Miami to be closer to him — saying her hair wouldn’t fare well in the humidity — but said the two are still talking about getting engaged .
“If you mean me describing what kind of ring I want, then yes! I want this to last forever, and if it takes us four more years to figure that out, I’m fine,” she said.
